So what is wireshark anyways?


Wireshark can do many things when it comes to analyzing network traffic. But here's a few that will get you excited about Wireshark:

  • If you're studying for your CompTIA Network+ exam, Wireshark is a great way to get some practical experience working with network analysis. So download the app, and what are are you waiting for?!

  • If you want to find out if anyone is snooping your network, you can easily scan your entire network to find out who is eavesdropping on your home network.

  • Analyze individual packets and frames to deconstruct them to find potentially unencrypted HTTPS traffic.

  • Find out if any nodes in your system is taking up ressources in your network.

How To Download Wireshark


Navigate to the website and hover over "Get Acquainted and click "Download" Get the latest version and you're off!!! Once you're able to open the application, it will ask you which network you want to scan. And once you click your ethernet or wireless adapter it will start scanning right away!
